Job summary

St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg is seeking a Unit Clerk for the Post Natal Unit. Under the supervision of the Manager Health Services and a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), the Unit Clerk will perform clerical, receptionist, and related duties as assigned.

Successful candidates will have a recognized Unit Clerk certificate, strong English communication, and the ability to organize and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, in-person hospital environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Unit Clerk certificate program.
  • Ability to work in a Windows operating environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical, receptionist and related duties as part of the health care team.
  • Support unit operations under supervision of the Manager Health Services and a RN/RPN.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate workflow for the unit.

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services and a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Unit Clerk acts as a member of the health care team, performing clerical, receptionist, and related duties as assigned.
