Job summary

CAA Club Group in Thornhill, Ontario, is seeking an Underwriter with 3–5 years of personal lines auto and property underwriting to join our Corporate Underwriting team. This full-time role focuses on providing professional, accurate underwriting advice to front-line agents and brokers while upholding delegated authority and company standards.

• 3-5 years' experience in personal lines auto and property underwriting.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Strong decision-making skills, risk assessment ability, and P&C product knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, accurate and efficient advice with respect to Auto Insurance and Property Insurance products to front-line agents, and brokers.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting rules, guidelines and practices in line with delegated authority.
• Ensure that endorsements, renewals, reissues, and cancellations are reviewed and analyzed in accordance with company standards and guidelines.
• Review claims, both auto and property to determine appropriate underwriting action.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with brokers and agents to contribute to service quality, problem resolution, and risk selection, in accordance with company standards.

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
