Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson mine in Ontario is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Mobile Maintenance team. In this role you will perform maintenance, welding, fabrication, and inspection on heavy mobile equipment used underground.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of welding in an industrial mining setting and holds an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Welder Certification. Training on safety and quality workmanship is essential, with a focus on reliability and continuous

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of welding experience in an industrial mining environment.
Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Welder Certification.
Experience with underground mobile equipment and industrial welding techniques is an asset.

Responsibilities

Equipment maintenance and repair: perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs on heavy mobile equipment to maximize reliability.
Welding and fabrication: weld, cut, grind, gouge, fabricate, overhaul, and modify components as required.
Inspection and troubleshooting: diagnose issues and determine corrective actions to prevent downtime.
Safety and housekeeping: maintain a safe work environment and follow procedures.
Documentation and teamwork: complete maintenance reports and support apprentices and maintenance staff.
