Job summary

Redpath is seeking Welder/Construction Miners for the Voisey’s Bay project in Newfoundland and Labrador. This role involves both welding and construction duties in an underground mining environment, supporting critical mine infrastructure in a remote camp setting.

Rotational schedule of 14 days on, 14 days off with 12-hour shifts. Camp accommodations provided, paid flights from the nearest airport, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in a related construction role in an underground mining environment (Required)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid CWB license required
• Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core – Full Basic (or other provincial equivalents)
• Basic literacy (reading, writing, basic math and reading blueprints)
• Ability to read civil print
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to make decisions quickly
• Knowledge of the mining industry
• Ability to read, review and understand Standard Work Procedures, safety programs and applicable mine regulations
• Must have the ability to adapt to change
• Pre-employment drug test, medical, and criminal background check required
