Redpath is seeking an Underground Construction Welder for the Musselwhite project in Pickle Lake, ON. The role involves assembling and welding steel components for underground infrastructure, with 12-hour shifts on a 14/14 rotation and a camp-based site.

You will read blueprints, prepare welds, and ensure quality while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety standards in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Certified welder with CWB or regional equivalent.
• Ontario Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner - Common Core.
• Minimum 3 years maintenance experience as a Welder in underground mine.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings; take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Weld components in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures for quality; maintain equipment safely.
• Disassemble, repair and overhaul heavy equipment implements as needed.
