Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Specialist, Underground Drill and Blast to join the Engineering Department at Meadowbank Complex near Baker Lake, Nunavut. The role focuses on delivering drill and blast prints, QA/QC, and supporting optimization initiatives for underground operations.

You will develop deliverables, compile data, and ensure timely updates while promoting safety and environmental responsibilities.

Qualifications

• College degree in Mine Engineering/Technology or higher.
• 2+ years’ experience in the mining industry.
• Ontario Common Core or Québec FMTM modules are an asset.
• Previous experience in drill & blast will be highly regarded, particularly in gold mining.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and mine design/planning software. Knowledge of Deswik is an asset.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop drill and blast deliverables.
• Provide Drill and Blast related services to the Mine operations.
• Blasting Quality Assurance/Quality Control services.
• Support to the D&B engineer to drive the optimization initiatives.
• Data compilation related to drill and blast.
• Promote Health and Safety in meetings and day to day tasks.
