Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking an Undercover Loss Prevention Officer to identify theft patterns, conduct surveillance, and reduce retail loss across multiple locations in British Columbia. This role demands independence, sharp observation, and sound judgment in fast-paced environments.

You'll work hands-on in a specialized undercover setting, building hands-on experience in investigations, case development, and asset protection while collaborating with store teams and security colleagues.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker License and Advanced Security Training (AST).
• Minimum 2 years of security experience (retail or mall environment preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of undercover loss prevention experience is an asset.
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA 1) or equivalent is an asset.
• Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel between locations as needed.
• Basic knowledge of applicable legislation (Criminal Code, Charter, Trespass Act) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct undercover surveillance to identify theft and high-risk activity
• Monitor behavioural patterns and support loss prevention strategies
• Perform lawful apprehensions when required, in accordance with company policy and training
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports
• Work collaboratively with store teams and fellow security professionals
• Maintain awareness across multiple locations as operationally required
• Manage high-pressure situations with professionalism and sound judgment
