Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Security Licence required.
• Use of Force is mandatory.
• Experience with shoplifting arrests is preferred.
• Retail security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prevent shoplifter theft in a retail environment while delivering customer service.
• Wear plain clothes to work undercover, blending with shoppers.
• Patrol store aisles, monitor customers, and watch security camera footage.
• Confront individuals you suspect of theft, who have unpaid merchandise.
• Escort trespassers out of the client premises.
• Perform arrests, detainments, and recover unpaid merchandise.
• Complete required documentation for security incidents.
• Escalate situation to law enforcement as required.
• Respond to emergency situations appropriately in a timely manner.
