Job summary

Cedar Security is hiring undercover loss prevention officers for plainclothes assignments in retail environments across Toronto. You will operate independently in-store, blending in with customers to observe, identify, and deter theft and fraud.

Responsibilities include covert surveillance, reporting, and interactions with store management and local law enforcement. The role requires sharp judgment, the ability to document incidents clearly, and readiness to work varied shifts at multiple

Qualifications

• Direct loss prevention or retail security experience (1–2 years).
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and electronic article surveillance (EAS).
• Knowledge of Criminal Code s.494 and Trespass to Property Act.

Responsibilities

• Conduct covert surveillance on the sales floor.
• Identify organized retail crime patterns.
• Execute lawful apprehensions under Criminal Code s.494.
• Liaise with store management and local law enforcement.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and evidence documentation.
• Testify in court or provide statements when required.
