Save‑On‑Foods in Winnipeg, MB is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer to protect people and assets on the sales floor, often undercover in plain clothes. You will blend into the store, observe for theft or fraud, and document evidence to support investigations.

You’ll conduct security audits, respond to incidents, and liaise with staff and law enforcement. Credentials, discretion, and strong communication are essential; independence is valued.

Qualifications

• MB Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, sound judgment and discretion.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Advanced Security Training/AST is an asset.
• Second language is an asset.
• Open availability is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining an undercover, plain‑clothes presence on the sales floor.
• Conduct discreet observations to identify theft, fraud and mischief.
• Approach situations with a customer‑first mindset.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with the public, staff and law enforcement.
• Conduct security audits of the building and assets.
• Perform arrests, asset recoveries, and related actions.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Document evidence and write clear reports.
