Job summary

SEPHORA Canada in Winnipeg is seeking an Asset Protection Partner to safeguard store assets and work with leadership to reduce shortage. The role covers surveillance, reporting, training and court testimony where required, within a supportive team environment.

Full-time, regular position at Polo Park with shifts 30-40 hrs/week. You will conduct store self-audits, participate in shrinkage prevention plans and partner with local authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of asset protection/loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
• Licensing requirements applicable by province/local jurisdiction.
• Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching in the moment on loss prevention techniques.
• Proficiency in Windows, Word and Excel is desirable.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Availability to work flexible hours and days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Availability to work at multiple locations within a market.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional and knowledgeable service to clients as needed.
• Conduct surveillance on the sales floor, including CCTV, to deter externals theft and identify incidents.
• Adhere to laws and Sephora policies concerning apprehensions, search, seizure and evidence preservation.
• Prepare reports relating to theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accidents and audits.
• Develop relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security and other retailers.
• Testify in court on behalf of the company when summoned.
• Provide new hire and ongoing employee trainings on loss prevention awareness.
