Job summary

Cabco Technologies in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is pursuing a Unified Communications Technician to join our team. You will implement, install, and integrate business telephone systems, including analog, digital, VoIP, and SIP solutions, while providing on-site and remote support.

The role requires at least 2 years in telecom/IT, experience with PBX/VoIP, strong troubleshooting, and a valid driver’s license. Avaya and 3CX are assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the telecommunications or IT industry.
• Experience working with PBX and VoIP systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
• Willingness to learn innovative technologies and complete ongoing training and certifications.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation, installation, and integration of business telephone systems, including analog, digital, VoIP, and SIP solutions.
• Install and support security systems, audio/visual solutions, and data network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain telecommunications and networking equipment.
• Provide technical support both remotely and on-site.
• Train customers for the effective use of their systems and equipment.
• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high-quality workmanship and professionalism.
