Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking an experienced tutor in West London to support a young learner requiring additional academic and emotional support. The role covers sessions in school or at home, 20 hours per week, term-time only, Monday to Friday.

Deliver a tailored Year 7 curriculum with teachers and another mentor, building trust and emotional safety through patient, student‑centred approaches. Experience with autistic children and SEMH needs is valuable.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting autistic children or young people with additional needs.
  • Experience with SEMH is beneficial but not essential.
  • Flexible in how support is delivered.

  • Encourage communication, provide processing time, and offer flexible choices.
  • Help promote emotional regulation through a calm, consistent approach.
  • Accompany the student to familiar and supportive environments when needed.

Tutor

Location: West London

Hours: 20 hours per week (part-time), term-time only (Monday-Friday availability required)

Pay: £30-35 per hour

We are looking for an experienced and supportive tutor to work with a young person who requires additional learning and emotional support. This is a rewarding role that involves helping to create a positive and responsive learning environment across both home and school settings in the Shepherd's Bush/West London area. Some planning (alongside school staff) and regular feedback to parents and wider professionals will be part of the role.

Tutor Role

Based in West London, this part-time position involves delivering a tailored curriculum in collaboration with teachers and another support mentor. Strong behaviour-support and relationship-building skills are essential. The young person attends a mainstream school and receives additional support from both a tutor and a1:1mentor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sessions either in school or at home, depending on the student's needs
