Job summary

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited in Calgary seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME-M) to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect mechanical systems on turboprop aircraft. You will work within a Transport Canada approved AMO, handling scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will perform root-cause analysis, interpret maintenance data, and document tasks while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Valid Transport Canada AME "M" licence.
• 3–5+ years aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience on turboprop aircraft (Dash 8, Q400, Twin Otter, CL-215/CL-415).
• ACA privileges (asset) and AMO experience (asset).
• Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, repair, and testing of mechanical systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot aircraft systems including powerplant and hydraulics.
• Diagnose defects using approved manuals and schematics.
• Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per AMO procedures and CARs.
• Certify tasks within AME M privileges and AMO authorization.
• Maintain documentation, records, and traceability.
• Support return-to-service activities and safety compliance.
• Provide guidance to junior maintenance personnel.
