Job summary

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada is seeking Mechanical Apprentices to join our MRO operation in Calgary. This entry-level opportunity is for recent graduates of an aircraft maintenance or related program, with no prior industry experience required.

You will develop practical aircraft maintenance skills while working with licensed AMEs, assisting with inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks in accordance with approved data and Transport Canada requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related technical program is required.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; prior industry experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed AMEs with aircraft mechanical maintenance activities.
• Perform assigned maintenance tasks under supervision and authorization.
• Assist with inspections, servicing, removal, installation and replacement of mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems and identify maintenance discrepancies.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, drawings, and work orders.
