Job summary

NAV CANADA is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to certify and complete maintenance on NAV CANADA aircraft at base and on profile, following Transport Canada regulations and the AOC/AMO policies. You will work under the Maintenance Coordinator and support flight operations with defects, inspections, and timely repairs.

Travel with crews nationally and internationally as required, perform and document inspections, and ensure all maintenance is entered in the RAAS system and compliant

Qualifications

  • Education: Transport Canada approved AME license with M1 or M2 rating.
  • Experience: Beechcraft King Air B300 inspection and repair.
  • Experience: PT6A engine inspection and repair.
  • Experience: CRJ-200 aircraft maintenance inspection and repair.
  • Knowledge: Transport Canada regulations.
  • Knowledge: Basic computer skills (MS Office).
  • Abilities: Work effectively both independently and in a team.
  • Abilities: Clear, accurate technical communication.
  • Abilities: Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records.
  • Abilities: Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Abilities: Prioritize and make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to pilots/crew and decide actions per MEL.
  • Perform and document inspections to confirm airworthiness.
  • Travel with crew for ground/support during profiles (CRJ-200).
  • Troubleshoot structural, mechanical, hydraulic & avionics systems.
  • Dismantle/reassemble airframes, engines or systems for repair.
  • Certify maintenance in RAAS and update e-records per TC regs.
  • Aid in procuring parts for unplanned repairs.
  • Maintain safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
