Job summary

FedEx Canada in Alberta is seeking a courier to provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery on an assigned route, while representing the company professionally and maintaining a neat appearance. The role requires accurate handling of shipments, use of tracking and dispatch systems, and timely reporting of stop counts.

You will assist customers, answer questions about FedEx Canada services, and ensure safety and security of packages, equipment, and vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
• One year of customer oriented business experience preferred.
• Some knowledge of Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route.
• Check shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service.
• Provide related customer service functions.
• Operate computerized tracking and dispatch systems.
• Answer customers' questions on Federal Express Canada's features of service.
• Demonstrate proficiency in features of service and equipment.
