Now Hiring licensed Truck or Trailer Mechanics!

We are currently seeking licensed Truck or Trailer Mechanics to join our team at D&W Forwarders Inc. in Calgary, AB. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, posses strong in diagnostics skills, and experience in repairing and maintain a fleet of trucks, trailer and related support equipment.

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE FOCUSING ON:
  • Diagnose and repair engines, electrical systems, starting/charging, lighting and basic drivability issues on heavy‑duty trucks and tractors.
  • Performing preventive maintenance, inspections, fluid services and general repairs to keep units safe, complaint and production ready.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics
  • Electrical diagnostics (ABS, Cummins, Paccar)
  • Replace parts and assemblies (brakes, steering/suspension components, belts/hoses, batteries, starts/alternators, etc.)
  • Perform suspension repairs and welding
  • Document work performed, maintain repair logs, and communicate findings, parts needs and repair timelines to the team.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Must have Truck or Trailer Mechanic License (310T/310J).
  • Previous mechanic experience in a fleet, truck shop or similar environment
  • Ability to complete accurate repair documentation and maintain clean, organized work habits
  • Have own basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand 50-75% of the shift.
  • Ability to work different shifts (days, mid-day, flexible)
  • Experience using diagnostic software and can assist with troubleshooting.
  • Can demonstrate leadership skills and is interested in growth.
