Job summary

TAPP Workforce Solutions Inc. in Winnipeg is seeking a Licensed Truck Technician for a national transport company. You’ll perform advanced diagnostics and maintenance on a diverse heavy-duty fleet, while mentoring apprentices and ensuring quality work.

Required CVIP in Manitoba, Red Seal or equivalent, and a valid Driver's Licence with Air Brake. Expect a 4‑day work week, relocation assistance for the right candidate, and retirement/health benefits.

Qualifications

• In-shop heavy-duty maintenance experience required.
• Red Seal certification or inter-provincial equivalent required.
• Manitoba CVIP licence required (signing CVIPs) and Air Brake endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on engines, drivetrains, braking, and auxiliary systems.
• Schedule preventative maintenance and safety inspections to OEM standards.
• Manage work orders, parts verification, and warranty documentation.
• Mentor apprentices and junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Advanced diagnostics and complex repairs across engines, drivetrains, braking, and auxiliary systems on a diverse heavy-duty fleet
• Scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections to OEM standards
• Managing audit-ready work orders, parts verification, and warranty documentation
• Mentoring apprentices and junior technicians

Qualifications

• CVIP licence in Manitoba (ability to sign commercial vehicle safeties — non-negotiable)
• Red Seal Transport Truck Technician certification or equivalent inter-provincial certification
• Valid Driver's Licence with Air Brake certification
• 3-7 years of in-shop heavy-duty truck maintenance experience preferred
• JPRO diagnostic software experience a bonus
