Job summary

Canada Cartage is seeking an experienced Lead Hand Truck & Transport Technician to join our maintenance team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help keep our fleet operating safely while supporting and mentoring technicians and apprentices.

Licensed Journeyperson / Red Seal Truck & Transport Technician or Experienced unlicensed technician with 6+ years of applicable experience. CVIP and Off-Road/On-Road certifications are assets.

• Journeyperson or Red Seal certification or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.
• CVIP and Off-Road/On-Road certifications are assets.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shop operations and prioritize repairs.
• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on fleet equipment.
• Support and mentor technicians and apprentices.
• Coordinate repair schedules and shop workflow.
• Maintain shop safety, inventory, and maintenance records.
• Work with Operations to minimize equipment downtime.
