Job summary

AIM Eco-Centre in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec, is seeking a Truck Mechanic for evening shifts (Mon-Thu, 2:30 PM–1:00 AM). You will maintain and repair heavy trucks and trailers, perform inspections, and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

A DEP in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics and a PEP card are required, with at least 2 years’ experience. Join AIM’s dynamic team focused on safety, efficiency, and quality maintenance.

Qualifications

• DEP in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent training.
• PEP card required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics.
• Proficient in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience using computerized diagnostic tools.
• Driver's License required.
• Knowledge of OHS safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy vehicles and mobile equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective inspections according to company standards.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct functional tests to ensure proper operation of the equipment.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Truck Mechanic to join our team in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec. This is an eveningshift position, Monday to Thursday, from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

The truck mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of mobile equipment such as trucks and trailers, including their upkeep, repair, and refurbishment.
Whatyou’reresponsible for:

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy vehicles and mobile equipment.


• Perform preventive and corrective inspections according to company standards.


• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.


• Conduct functional tests to ensure proper operation of the equipment.


• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance.


• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations

Qualifications

To join our team:

• Training: DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent training.


• Requirement: PEP card.


• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics.


• Technical Knowledge: Proficient in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.


• Computer Skills: Ability to use computerized diagnostic tools.


• Driver’s License


• Safety: Knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and adherence to safety protocols.

Additional Information

• Permanent full-time position


• Evening schedule: Monday to Thursday – 2:30 PM to 1:30 AM


• Premium for the evening shift


• Overtime paid after 40 hours
