Job summary

Équipements Nordiques in Sept-Îles seeks an experienced truck driver responsible for planning routes, loading and unloading goods, and operating straight or articulated trucks. You will ensure safety checks, maintain logs, and secure cargo for each trip.

English or French communication is required, with 2–3 years of trucking experience. The role is on-site at the physical location with a strong emphasis on reliability, teamwork, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• English or French language proficiency.
• 2–3 years of experience in trucking/transport delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions with GPS to minimize fuel use and emissions.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and storage equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and manage vehicle operations.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarp and secure cargo for safe transport.
