We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various locations in Canada. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, committed to safety, and has a proven track record of dependability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and Unload Cargo: Ensure the proper loading, securing, and unloading of goods, adhering to weight limits and distribution requirements.
  • Drive and Operate Vehicles Safely: Safely operate trucks, including tractor‑trailers, ensuring compliance with road and safety regulations.
  • Plan Routes and Schedules: Follow planned routes and adjust schedules as necessary to meet delivery timelines while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections on vehicles to identify and report any maintenance issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, fuel usage, and other relevant documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all provincial, federal, and transportation safety laws, including hours‑of‑service regulations, and report any incidents or violations.
  • Customer Service: Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers, and dispatchers to ensure efficient and courteous service.

Qualifications:

  • Licensing: Possession of a valid Canadian Class 1 or Class A drivers license with air brake (Z) endorsement for long‑haul driving (Class 3 or Class D may be required for certain types of trucks).
  • Experience: Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in long‑haul transportation.
  • Certification: Completion of an accredited commercial driver training program is an asset.
  • Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations, adhering to company and legal standards.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with GPS and other navigation tools, as well as knowledge of provincial and national traffic regulations.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy loads, sit for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Hours of Service Compliance: Knowledge of hours‑of‑service regulations and commitment to maintaining logs to ensure compliance.
  • Drug and Alcohol Screening: Pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening, as required by federal law for commercial drivers.
