Job summary

Groupe Nadeau in Saint-Jean-Baptiste, QC, seeks a dedicated truck driver with 2+ years’ experience to operate straight or articulated trucks on-site. You will plan routes and secure cargo while on the road.

You’ll load/unload goods, inspect vehicles, relay information to dispatch, and maintain logs of hours of service and fuel. Benefits include group insurance, life insurance, and a night shift premium.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience with routing and logistics is preferred.
• Valid driver’s licence and related certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on conditions using GPS to minimize fuel use.
• Professionalism in customer service.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain permits and documents for international cargo routes.
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Inspect vehicle condition and equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip checks.
• Relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel use.
• Tarp and secure cargo.
