Experience

• 7 months to less than 1 year

Tasks

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and emissions.
• Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques.
• Drive as part of a team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain permits and documents for international cargo transport.
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods.
• Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and storage equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Communicate with dispatch and record cargo details, hours, distance, and fuel usage.
