ABOUT THE ROLE

Wells Construction, a division of Lafarge Canada Inc., is seeking a Seasonal Tack Truck Driver. The driver will operate and maintain a tack truck, transport asphalt and other materials, ensure safe delivery, maintain equipment, and assist with labor duties at the job site as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Operate and maintain a tack truck in good condition.
  • Transport asphalt and materials to construction sites.
  • Assist with site preparation and cleanup.
  • Ensure safe and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs.
  • Promote safety and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, fostering a safety culture.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Experience: Experience driving a tack truck or similar equipment.
  • Certifications: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Technical Skills: Basic equipment maintenance and minor truck repairs.
  • Travel: Frequent travel within Edmonton and surrounding areas.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, independently and in teams, with good communication skills. Construction industry experience is a plus. Willing to work overtime and weekends. Must follow safety protocols, including proper PPE use, and be clean-shaven if required for respirator fit testing.
