Job Summary

The City of Edmonton is seeking a skilled Truck Driver III to join our team, supporting infrastructure maintenance, material transport, and winter services. This role involves operating trucks, providing winter road maintenance, and performing general labor duties in various settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks and trailers to deliver resources and materials to city sites
  • Load and move equipment between locations
  • Perform winter maintenance such as snow and ice removal
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and routine maintenance
  • Assist with general labor tasks like litter control and sidewalk cleaning
  • Complete relevant paperwork and reports

Qualifications

  • Completion of grade 10 or equivalent
  • Specific training in plow and sander operation
  • At least 1 year of relevant equipment operation experience

Assets

  • Knowledge of city truck routes and equipment procedures
  • Ability to identify minor equipment defects
  • Physical strength and agility
  • Emergency First Aid certification

Positions Available: Up to 2 permanent full-time roles

Hours of Work

  • Winter: 80 hours biweekly, rotating 12-hour shifts
  • Summer: 40 hours per week, 24/7 coverage

Salary Range: $32.036/hour, approximately $68,891/year
