Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a Physiotherapist for a temporary assignment ending around March 31, 2027. The role requires a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent and current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO).

Shifts are days, 8 hours, with standard hospital duties and cross-site collaboration. Applicants must be proficient in English and French, demonstrate excellent communication, judgement, and problem-solving abilities, and be eligible to work in

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO).
  • Registered with CPO or eligible for registration.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards set by licensing board (CPO).
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification eligible.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and French (advanced).

Position Information

This position is temporary until approximately March 31, 2027.

Rotation/Shifts

Days, 8 hours shift (07:00- 15:00, 07:30-15:30, 08:00-16:00).

Basic Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physiotherapy OR equivalent program recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO);
  • Successful completion of registration and examination process for physiotherapy as set by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO);
  • Working knowledge of regulatory standards set by licensing board (CPO);
  • Eligible for Certification in CPR and/or First Aid;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills;
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving abilities;
  • Eligible to work in Canada;
  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).

The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French and English speaking clients.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent experience in adult orthopedic outpatient setting and some experience in completing functional testing or functional abilities forms.
