Job summary

Irving Woodlands in New Brunswick is seeking motivated summer workers for planting season. The job offers piece-rate earnings and daily ranges, with 3 days on, 1 day off, and camps with meals.

You provide footwear and high-visibility shirt; we supply planting equipment. Location bases in Central and Southern NB with several daily pick-up locations; some crews may work from our Deersdale camps.

Safety first, teamwork, and physical endurance are essential as you contribute to land stewardship.

Qualifications

• Must be able to get to a central meeting location daily if on a home-based crew.
• Highly motivated self-starter.

Come join us for a challenging and highly rewarding summer!! We are looking for highly motivated, positive self-starters to join our team! Here's what you can expect:

• $0.12-$0.14/tree piece work and you can expect earnings in the range of $200-$500/day (the more you plant the more you earn!)
• 3:1 schedule (3 days on 1 day off)
• Planting season runs from early May until mid-July and resumes early August
• Fast land that is mostly mechanically site prepped with majority of blocks trenched
• All blocks have road access and transportation will be provided
• There is an opportunity to work within your community (see list below) or within one of our camps. Camp living costs are $25/day, including meals and full amenities (showers, wifi, TV)
• We provide planting equipment at no cost to you. You only need to have your own appropriate footwear and a high visibility shirt/vest.

Seasons/Terms - Join us for some or all of these options!

• Fall planting season runs from Early to Mid-August to Late September (or until you go back to school for students!)

Locations

We are looking for local crews based out of Central, and Southern New Brunswick with various daily pick-up locations.

We are also looking for crews that will be based out of our camps in Deersdale.
