Job summary

Irving Woodlands is seeking a hands‑on Seasonal Tree Care support role in field operations across multiple planting sites in New Brunswick. You will assist planters and Crew Leaders, help manage tree storage and supplies, and ensure timely delivery to planting zones.

This position emphasizes physical outdoor work, teamwork, and safety. A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record is required, and willingness to perform a variety of field tasks is essential.

Qualifications

  • Tree planting experience or related outdoor work.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
  • Ability to perform demanding physical tasks in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support Crew Leaders and planters with daily field tasks.
  • Set up and manage caches for tree storage and supplies.
  • Deliver trees to planting sites and manage inventory of trays/boxes.
  • Water trees and monitor hydration needs in the field.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot field equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate logistics and field communications.
  • Uphold safety and efficiency across all field operations.

Our Tree Care team is essential to the success of our summer planting operations. These roles provide critical support to our tree planters and Crew Leaders, helping ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations in the field.

This is a dynamic, hands-on position ideal for motivated self-starters who are ready to take on a variety of tasks and contribute to a meaningful mission—growing the future, one tree at a time.

Position Type: Seasonal

Location: Field-based (various planting sites)

Salary: Minimum $1125/week (varies based on experience)

Positions Available: Multiple

Responsibilities
  • Support Crew Leaders and planters with daily operational tasks
  • Set up and manage caches for tree storage and supplies
  • Deliver trees to planting sites and manage inventory of full and empty tree trays or boxes
  • Water trees and monitor hydration needs in the field
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment (skidders, pumps, vehicles)
  • Assist with logistical coordination and field communications
  • Ensure safety and efficiency in all aspects of field operations
Qualifications
  • Tree planting experience
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Physically fit and able to perform demanding outdoor tasks
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
