Job summary

Irving Woodlands in Fredericton, NB, invites applications for Crew Leaders to guide tree planting teams this summer. You’ll lead a crew of 10–14, ensure safety, manage logistics, and coach planters to hit daily production targets.

This is outdoor, physically demanding work with autonomy to motivate and develop your team. Pay is up to $260 per day, commensurate with experience and leadership, with strong potential to grow into more responsibilities within J.D. Irving Limited.

Qualifications

• Experience leading crews in field settings.
• Ability to enforce safety standards on site.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Self-motivated with a proven leadership track record.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to leader for your planting crew
• Keep operations running smoothly and safely
• Support planters with logistics, morale, and problem-solving
• Take pride in the success of your team and the trees you help plant
• Lead a crew of 10–14 tree planters with energy and accountability
• Promote safety standards to ensure a safe work environment
• Maintain planting quality through coaching and follow-up with planters
• Manage daily job site operations, including logistics and coordination
• Drive productivity to meet or exceed daily targets
