Job summary

Rideau Dental in Ottawa is seeking a Treatment Coordinator to act as the primary liaison for patients, explain treatment plans, and manage scheduling and billing with the dental team. You will help educate patients on costs and financing while building lasting relationships that support treatment adherence and retention.

The role requires NDAEB certification, prior dental assisting experience, and adeptness with dental software.

Qualifications

• Previous clinical experience as a Treatment/Scheduling Coordinator is required.
• NDAEB certification is required.
• Previous Dental Assisting experience is required.
• Knowledge of dental treatment plans and ability to educate patients is required.
• Experience with dental software programs is required.
• Strong customer service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for patients, explaining treatment plans, procedures, costs, and financing options.
• Support treatment planning by coordinating appointments and follow-ups with the dental team.
• Present treatment costs, collect payments, process insurance claims, and assist with payment plans.
• Build strong patient relationships to encourage treatment acceptance, retention, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure smooth scheduling to optimize chair time.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to deliver seamless, high‑quality care.
• Uphold privacy, ethical, and regulatory standards in all patient interactions.
