About this opportunity:

The Treasury Analyst Cash Management will play a pivotal role working with the team to build out the Treasury forecast model to deliver accurate and actionable cash forecasts to support a broad range of treasury-related decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the oil and gas industry and financial modeling skills. This individual will work closely with business units and key corporate collaborators.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with the development of the comprehensive Treasury cash forecast model to support strategic decision making in Treasury

  • Responsible for preparing the monthly and bi-monthly cash updates for senior leaders

  • Investigate and explain differences between actual and forecasted cash flows

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and manage information flows between teams

  • Support the development of dashboards to report global cash balances, investments and loans

  • Assist with forecasting company-wide positions across different currencies and tax jurisdictions

  • Conduct weekly analysis of key drivers of cash flow changes and provide business context

  • Contribute to various Treasury projects and initiatives as directed by the Manager Cash Forecasting

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • Professional designation such as a Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) would be considered an asset

  • Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting and financial modelling capabilities

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in treasury, accounting, corporate finance, financial planning or related areas
