Description of Duties:
The Board Treasurer utilizes their expertise to oversee all financial decisions and affairs, ensuring they align with the organization's goals and objectives. The volunteer Treasurer will assume a leadership role on the board on all financial matters.

Skills Required:
Post-secondary education with a major in accounting, CPA/CMA designation an asset.
Strong background in finance, accounting, or related fields. Familiarity with financial principles, budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis is essential.
Strong sense of integrity, ethics, and a commitment to transparency and accountability.
Prior experience working with nonprofits or a good understanding of the nonprofit sector is very valuable.

Virtual monthly meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month. Meetings are typically 1-1.5 hours in length. Occasional time may be required outside of meetings to fulfill board-related duties.
