Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a Pediatric Nurse for a school-based care role with scheduled shifts. You will care for pediatric patients with varying complexity, travel within the Waterloo Region, and work Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., plus one weekly on-call evening and a weekend on-call rotation.

You’ll benefit from autonomy, strong peer support, comprehensive training, and benefits. Salary range is $31.66–$36.39 per hour, with mileage compensation and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in pediatric care.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to travel within Waterloo Region.
• Clinical skills in gastric feeding, tracheostomy and ventilation care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using appropriate tools and monitor care plans.
• Execute and update care plans as needed.
• Engage patients with rapport and collaborative care.
• Maintain and update patient records of encounters and plans.
