Job summary

CAA Club Group in Brandon, MB is seeking a full-time Travel Agent to sell travel products, counsel members, and create accurate passenger records on-site. You will handle bookings for domestic and international travel, issue tickets, and maintain member files with a focus on customer service.

Requirements include post-secondary education in Travel Counselling, CITC/CTC accreditation or enrollment, and at least 3 years of agent experience; strong knowledge of Windows and Office is desired.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes Connections methods to counsel members and sell travel products by phone or in person.
  • Make recommendations on travel planning to optimize trips and cost.
  • Sell travel products including air, rail, cruise, tour, insurance, hotels and car rentals.
  • Promote CAA memberships and related products and benefits.
  • Research requests, quote fares/schedules, issue tickets, and prepare travel documents.
  • Create passenger records and maintain member travel files in CRS and CRM systems.
  • Handle payments, refunds, and ticket changes; resolve client complaints.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward CCG products and initiatives.

Education

Graduate of Post Secondary Education Program in Travel Counselling
CITC or CTC accreditation/enrolment

What You Will Do

  • Utilizes the Connections methodologies to identify and counsel members and clients via the telephone or in person in order to sell travel products and services.
  • Makes recommendations on all aspects of travel planning to improve trip, save money, and enhance the quality of the travel experience.
  • Sells all travel products including domestic and international air, train, cruise, tour, CAAexclusive group departures, travel insurance, hotel, and car reservations
  • Promotes CAA memberships and all CAA products, services, and benefits
  • Support all CAA/AAA preferred partnerships and marketing initiatives
  • Research client request, quotes fares and schedules, issues tickets, and prepares all required travel related documents and applications.
  • Advises client of product terms and conditions.
  • Creates accurate computerized passenger records using Apollo Focal Point Computer Reservation System (CRS), SAP System and Sales Automation.
  • Establishes and maintains member's travel files, accepts and processes payments, refunds, lost tickets, and documents.
  • Displays a positive attitude towards CCG product, services, and initiatives
  • Demonstrate daily, the Core Values & Service Principles of CCG
  • Participates in the resolution of client complaints.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Role is full-time on site in the Brandon, Manitoba location

Who You Are:

  • Graduate of Post Secondary Education Program in Travel Counselling.
  • Enrolment in or accreditation as a CITC (Canadian Institute of Travel Consultants) or Certified Travel Consultant (CTC).
  • Three (3) years of experience in a Travel Consultant (Agent) position.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
