Job summary

Marymound is seeking a dedicated Youth Care Practitioner to support the developmental needs of children and youth within a multidisciplinary team. The role involves planning activities, implementing interventions, and promoting family- and culture-centered support.

Responsibilities include daily documentation, safety, crisis intervention, and ongoing professional growth. A strong emphasis on Indigenous knowledge and culturally responsive programming is expected.

Qualifications

• Certificate/diploma in Child & Youth Care or related post-secondary education preferred.
• Experience with at-risk youth or vulnerable populations preferred.
• Familiar with developmental, educational, emotional, social and recreational needs of youth.
• Must have trauma-informed perspective and relevant trainings.

Responsibilities

• Support development and wellbeing of each child/youth to reach full potential.
• Implement planned activities, structured environments, and therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain safety and licensing standards, document daily events and outcomes.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to coordinate care plans.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
