Qualifications

• Diploma in a related human/social service field with 1 year of related experience.
• Experience with clients with conflict with the law, developmental disabilities or spectrum disorders.
• Experience in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside and with First Nation communities.
• Ability to handle aggressive behaviors and support diverse learning abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Apply trauma-informed principles and Two-Eyed Seeing in service delivery.
• Promote safety, trust and cultural humility for residents and staff.
• Provide person-centered support using harm reduction and resource access.
• Assist in assessment, goal setting and Personal Service Plans for semi-independent residents.
• Collaborate with Social Workers, Outreach Workers and community partners.
• Support residents with daily life skills and community participation.
• Facilitate activities and manage potential emergency situations.
