Zusammenfassung

The Family Centre is hiring to provide trauma‑informed family support across communities in Edmonton. You will facilitate community activities, collaborate with partners, and run groups in community spaces to strengthen parenting and family resilience.

Ideal candidates have a degree or diploma in Child & Youth Care or Human Services, strong facilitation and communication skills, and experience with diverse populations. A safe, inclusive workplace and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or diploma in relevant field with related experience.
• Experience delivering trauma-informed services or parenting support is preferred.
• Ability to build partnerships with community organizations and schools.

Aufgaben

• Facilitate capacity building activities for community needs (presentations, events).
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to provide programming in community spaces.
• Lead groups in community settings based on community needs.
• Meet with families 1:1 to develop goals for parenting and stress reduction.
• Address resources for mental health, addictions, domestic violence, and related issues.
• Support brain development through attachment, literacy, and culturally sensitive play.
