Job summary

Metro Supply Chain Group is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and deliver data-driven supply chain solutions for clients. The role focuses on transportation, warehousing, and distribution with emphasis on cost modeling, network optimization, and feasibility analysis.

You will collect and analyze client data, build advanced models, and present value propositions to stakeholders while partnering with procurement, operations, and IT teams to ensure seamless implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of customized logistics solutions across transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop pricing models, network optimization strategies, and operational workflows aligned with client objectives.
• Collect, validate, and analyze client data (volumes, lanes, costs, service levels).
• Build advanced models to evaluate scenarios, optimize network design, and forecast performance.
• Receive and analyze carrier rates across modes (FTL, LTL, intermodal) to build accurate cost bases.
• Incorporate rate structures and accessorial charges, and market trends into solution pricing and optimization models.
• Conduct discovery sessions to capture client requirements and operational constraints.
• Present solution designs, cost models, and value propositions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with procurement, operations, and IT teams to validate feasibility and ensure seamless implementation.
• Support implementation teams during solution handoff and deployment phases.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process optimization, and service enhancements.
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain design.

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director – Transportation Network Strategy, the Solutions Architect will develop, design and deliver innovative, data driven supply chain solutions tailored to client needs. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, deep understanding of transportation and distribution networks, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies. You will lead solution design efforts, incorporating carrier rate analysis, cost modeling, and operational feasibility to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design of customized logistics solutions across transportation, warehousing, and distribution.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3–5 years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain solution design within a 3PL or similar environment.


• Advanced proficiency in Excel (modeling, pivot tables), data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and SQL.


• Familiarity with TMS, WMS, and optimization tools.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Excellent communication, presentation skills and client-facing skills .


• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
