Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related experience in finance, analytics, or supply chain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a numerate field is required; MBA/masters asset but not required.
  • Strong analytical abilities with ability to translate analysis into actionable decisions.
  • Experience supporting logistics/supply-chain operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze clients’ supply chain data (DC network, shipment profiles, inventory levels) to recommend improved solutions.
  • Prepare monthly revenue reports and KPIs; create dashboards for leadership reviews.
  • Support pricing, contracting, onboarding, and carrier rate analyses using TMS/WMS data.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Transportation, Warehouse, Finance, and IT to drive profitability.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the incumbent of this role will primarily work in conjunction with Sales (Business Development and Customer Success), Transportation Operations, Warehouse Operations, Finance, and IT to manage and oversee financial, business and supply chain analyses. The incumbent will be a solid communicator capable of analyzing clients’ supply chain data (DC network, shipment data profile, inventory levels, etc.) to recommend improved Supply Chain solutions and present findings to senior level internal stakeholders and/or high-profile clientele. Success in the role will be defined by the efficient use of analytical and operational expertise of the incumbent to drive financial performance and enhance profitability within the company.

Role Responsibilities
Pricing and Contract Support:
  • Supportscompany’s internal RFP process with Transportationand Distributionpricing solutions ; Providespricing and profitability analyses for prospectiveopportunities
  • Reviews, writes,distributesand documentsall contracts for new customers
  • Supports thecustomer onboarding process from a financial standpoint-including customer set-up, billing set-up, contract management,contract compliance,etc.
  • Supports company’s competitive bid efforts in all external Transportation and Warehousing partners’ RFP/RFQ opportunities
Others (Routine):
  • Prepares and presents monthly revenuereports– Distribution Centers, Distribution & Transportation Customers
  • Maintainsmonthly KPIs and create Performance Dashboards for Sales, Distribution, Transportation and Finance to be presented to leadership during monthly S&OP meetings
  • Maintains and updates standard rate cards in response to market demands andPiVALoperations
  • Collaborates with Finance and IT to ensure existing and new Transportation contracts ( Carrier cost rates and client sell rates ) are accurately captured in the TMS
  • Assists Transportation Operations in streamlining end-to-end transportation needs to deliver the required Transportation service at theoptimalcost.
  • Collaborates with IT to address issues in TMS contracts: Out of Contract lanes, Billing exceptions, etc .
  • Periodically (weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/annual) updates Transportation rates in the TMS (e.g., weekly fuel surcharges based on weekly FCA fuel surcharges and different carrier contracts)
  • Creates internal and external reports (Power BI Reports, Deckpresentationsand Spreadsheets) for business use
Others (As Needed):
  • Leads all Transportation and Distribution Analytics support on projects focused on strategic corporate initiatives
  • Computes quarterly incentive payouts for Sales,Expediteand Transportation teams according to their respective Incentive Programs
  • Collaborates with the Directors of Finance, Distribution, Transportation and sales on annual Revenue and Cost budgetingefforts.
  • Managesad-hoc projects, data analysis requirements, and implementssupply chain optimization projects
  • Provides analytical support( TransportationRoute Analysis,Warehouse Greenfield Analysis,Scheduling Optimization, Pricing analytics , etc.)forall Transportationand Warehousingprojects, new business opportunities,proposalsand acquisitions
  • Interpretsand analyzesclients’Supply Chain data(Transportation, Distribution,Inventory, etc.)using statistical techniques
  • DocumentsSOPs forroutine Transportationand Distributionprocesses(e.g.,rate updates in the TMS, AP/AR Pricing reconciliations, etc.) and maintainsthorough documentation ofallassigned projects
  • Provides analytical supportstoTransportationduringCarrierContract negotiations and pricing
  • Partners with IT to research/implement Transportation software solutions to take advantage ofemergingtechnologies; Presents and communicates use-casesandPOCs (Proof of Concepts)forsuch solutionsto Leadershipand Operations
  • Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5Yearsrelated to job descriptions
  • Education: A numerate 4-yearbachelor’sdegree(required); Preferred disciplines include Industrial Engineering,Finance,Operations Research,Supply Chain Management,Mathematics,Applied Statistics,etc.An MBA or a Masters (Not Required) is an asset. A 2-yearassociate'sdegree may be considered if candidate has >5 years cognate experience
  • Strong analytical abilities and able to turn analysis into actionable decisions
  • Demonstrated experience insupportinga highly skilled team and implementing complex initiatives/projects

  • General working knowledge of commonlogisticstechnologies (WMS, TMS,YMS, etc.) will be an asset; Specifically, 1-2 yearshands-onexperience with any TMSand WMSispreferred.
  • Intermediate-to-Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel isrequired
  • Intermediate-to-Advanced working knowledge of BIand dashboard style visualizationstools(Tableau, Power BI, etc.) will be an asset
  • General exposure to Data Aggregation and Automation tools (e.g. Alteryx,UIPath,etc.) will be an asset
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation preferred but notrequired
  • Responsible for following best Quality, Environmental and Sustainable practices and ensuring procedures are adhered to within day-to-day operations.
  • Knowledgeable with the ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 Standard requirements applicable to assigned functions and role.
  • Takes accountability and supports team to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality (QMS) and environmental (EMS) management systems.
