Job summary

Reyes Family of Businesses seeks a Transportation Supervisor to oversee a McDonald's distributorship's transportation operations. You will plan manpower and equipment for the hourly workforce, prioritize safety, and manage dispatch within the collective bargaining framework.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities to optimize routes, control costs, and maintain service targets while guiding Warehouse and Transportation teams at the distribution centre.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, engineering, logistics or related field.
• Three to five years’ experience in high-volume distribution or logistics.
• One to three years of progressively responsible supervisory experience.
• Strong computer software (MS Office) skills.
• Experience with routing/onboard software is a strong asset.
• Leadership competencies and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily manpower requirements for current day and week with overtime minimization.
• Lead daily shift meetings; communicate safety and operational messages.
• Assign daily duties to drivers ensuring safety, service and productivity.
• Manage workflows to meet Collective Bargaining Agreement terms.
• Maintain and audit production and master delivery schedules.
• Provide training and direction to employees on SOPs.
• Oversee quality control for in-house and enroute product.
• Investigate near misses, injuries, and collisions; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Transportation and Customer Service to resolve issues.
