Job summary

Martin Brower Canada is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee distribution transportation, plan manpower and equipment for the hourly workforce, and ensure a safety-first environment with zero-tolerance for injuries. You will interpret collective bargaining and manage daily dispatch while maintaining master delivery schedules.

The role provides leadership to the Transportation Department at an assigned distribution centre, driving cost reductions without impacting service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, logistics or related field.
• 3–5 years in high-volume, food service, unionized distribution, or logistics.
• 1–3 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience.
• Strong computer software (MS Office) skills.
• Experience with Routing and Onboard Software is a strong asset.
• Leadership competencies and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment with attention to detail.
• Excellent time management, communication and presentation skills.
• Post-offer background check required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repair and maintenance (PM/Safety) programs for all company vehicles.
• Minimize equipment downtime with efficient scheduling.
• Plan and execute daily manpower requirements for current day and week.
• Create and maintain production and master delivery schedules.
• Audit drivers’ trip records and weekly payroll entries.
• Provide training and direction to employees on SOPs and safety.
