Job summary

Locher Evers International in Delta, BC, is seeking an on-site logistics coordinator to compile orders, track work orders, and coordinate activities across departments, with a focus on cross-border dispatching and effective customer service.

Qualifications

• On-site role; no remote work.

Responsibilities

• Compile orders and instructions received from customers.
• Track and complete work orders.
• Coordinate activities with other work units or departments.
• Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments.
• Prepare and submit reports.
• Maintain work records and logs.
• Organize warehouse and work areas.
• Coordinate activities with warehouse and production units.
• Coordinate traffic flow of supplies.
• Compile worksheets and specifications of orders.
• Prepare and maintain progress and other reports.
• Provide customer service.
• Communicate with ships, aircraft and other remote operations.
• Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations.
• Follow-up on issues with work orders.
• Keep track of shipments.
• Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices.
• Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
• Maintain vehicle operator work records.
• Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment.
• Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment.
• Organize and maintain inventory.
