Job summary

Kelly is seeking a Transportation Coordinator in Cambridge, ON to support afterhours transportation operations as the main contact for customers, drivers and carriers. The role handles shipment updates, timeliness, and coordination across dispatch teams using Trimble and other systems.

Requires experience in transportation/logistics, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication. Temporary position (6 months with potential extension), with Friday-Monday 4x10 shifts at $22.00/hour plus

• Supply Chain education is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for customers, drivers, and carriers during afterhours.
• Provide shipment updates via phone, email, and dispatch systems.
• Monitor trips to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Assign loads and coordinate with drivers and dispatch teams as needed.
• Track shipment activity using Trimble and update internal systems.
• Handle after-hours issues including delays, breakdowns, and missed pickups.
• Coordinate with maintenance or road service for equipment issues.
• Escalate urgent issues to day-shift teams when required.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and exception documentation.
• Ensure smooth shift handoffs between teams.
