Randstad Canada is seeking an order picker to support back-end warehouse operations, validating receipts, picking orders, and updating inventory records. The role emphasizes accuracy, cycle counts, and safe handling of goods on a day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
The position is a three-month contract starting October 19, with bus-route access on Trillium Drive in South Kitchener, and benefits from Randstad's comprehensive programs from day one.
Working as an order picker you will be the backbone of daily warehouse operations, ensuring that all goods are accurately processed, tracked, and stored. Your primary domain will be the back-end warehouse, where you will handle a diverse array of tasks crucial to the smooth functioning of the facility. This role involves inventory management, including receiving incoming shipments, picking orders with precision, and meticulously updating inventory records through cycle counting. You will also be responsible for verifying shipping records, preparing merchandise for storage or delivery, and resolving any discrepancies in incoming or outgoing freight. Operating a pump truck will be your primary method of moving heavy materials at times ensuring safe and efficient transport of goods across the facility floor without the need for forklift certification. You will be trained to use an end rider but it will not likely be required.
This is a three-month contract with a strong possibility of extension, starting on October 19th. The facility is conveniently located on a bus route on Trillium Drive in South Kitchener, making it highly accessible for transit users. You will enjoy a steady daytime schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
