Charger Logistics Inc. is seeking a Claims Adjuster to join our Brampton office. The role involves evaluating and adjudicating complex bodily injury and property damage claims, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.

You will manage investigations, liaise with insurers and operators, and support litigation and subrogation efforts, with on-call availability for serious incidents as needed.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in an Insurance program or related program.
• 2+ years of trucking, claims or safety and compliance experience preferred.
• Experience with commercial lines and transportation liability.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and adjudicate complex claims, including those in litigation, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of bodily injury claims involving company vehicles or drivers.
• Prepare detailed file summaries for internal reporting, large loss assessments, and reinsurance purposes, ensuring all pertinent information is accurately documented.
• Ensure all bodily injury claims are handled in accordance with industry best practices and company policies.
• Adjust physical damage claims including unreported damage claims.
• Negotiate with insurance company adjusters, claimants, and third-party claimant representatives upon receipt of information.
• Discuss accidents, damage, preventability and processes with commercial vehicle operators, and maintain related litigation/subrogation files.
• Report claims and accidents as necessary; be available on-call for nights and weekends for serious incidents.
