Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our Brampton team as a dispatch specialist.

You will coordinate inbound and outbound freight to meet daily goals and work closely with customers, brokers, and carriers to ensure high service levels and on-time performance. You will analyze lane data and pricing to negotiate rates, manage documentation, and resolve discrepancies, helping to maintain profitability and customer satisfaction while supporting growth in our Canada

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in trucking industry and/or dispatch experience.
• Educational background in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Customer service experience in a similar environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for customers, coordinating inbound/outbound freight to meet daily priorities and transportation targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, brokers, and carriers to address service risks and ensure timely communication.
• Analyze lane data, on-time performance and costs to negotiate rates and ensure profitability.
• Communicate with customers, brokers, and carriers to resolve discrepancies in pricing, service levels, and documentation.
• Direct logistics activities such as obtaining shipment rates, selecting 3PLs, tracking shipments, and resolving scheduling issues.
• Verify shipping and customs documents (PODs, BOL, carrier confirmations) and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Proactively communicate service risks to customers for proper resolution.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, and carriers to proactively address service risks, resolve issues, and ensure timely, transparent communication.
• Analyze lane data, on-time performance and costs to effectively negotiate rates with customers and third-party carriers to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
• Communicate with customers, brokers, and carriers to resolve discrepancies related to pricing, service levels, delivery schedules, and documentation.
• Direct and organize logistics activities such as obtaining shipment rates, negotiating with logistics service providers, selecting 3PL partners, tracking and expediting shipments, and solving any discrepancy of quality, quantity, and schedule.
• Verify and troubleshoot any issues in shipping or customs documentation including, but not limited to, PODs, BOL and carrier confirmation.
• Proactively communicate service risks to customers to provide proper resolution

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in trucking industry and/or dispatch experience.
• Educational background in Supply Chain Management (or other relevant area such as Business)
• Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment
• Knowledge of the transportation industry and North American geography are considered assets.
• Positive attitude with good people skills.
• Good command of MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software.
