Skills and Responsibilities:

• Telecom Domain: Understanding of SDH, ADM, OTN, TCP/IP, DCN, IP-RAN, Mobile Backhaul, Fronthaul, IP, IP/MPLS, etc.
• Preferred: Exposure to Routing protocols (RIPv1, RIPv2, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF), IP/MPLS
• Knowledge of Cloud and Automation
• Hands-on experience with Transmission/Optical equipment from OEMs like Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Alcatel, Cisco, NEC, Nortel, including UNIX-based Preside, VNMS, Alcatel SAM NMS
• Experience with NMS, EMS provisioning, Fault Management, Troubleshooting, Work Order management with OEMs
• Familiarity with Project Management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or SAFe
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, resolve Trouble Tickets, and perform RCA
• Coordination with field teams for installation, site integration, traffic shifting, and visibility in NMS
• Completion of Handover Takeover (HOTO) after quality checks and Acceptance Tests (AT)
• Knowledge of Regulatory compliance applications
• Open to working shifts (morning, night)
• Assess bandwidth requirements per site relative to spectrum and technology (2G/3G/4G/5G)
• Maintain integrity of engineering records and design standards for Transport systems
• Prepare engineering planning/design specifications (HLD/LLD) for IPRAN/UAT network changes
• Generate RE work orders for third-party towers and rooftops
• Knowledge of Industry Canada policies and SRSPs
• Design and finalize software (SWUP) & hardware (HWUP) upgrades based on traffic utilization
• Prepare Material Order Requests (MORs) and engineering specifications for new site builds
