Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is looking for a Transmission Planning Project Manager in Toronto to lead complex transmission projects from inception to completion. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating multi-discipline teams of engineers and analysts.

Your role includes client engagement, business development support, and risk management to ensure timely, on-budget project delivery. The successful candidate will guide project execution plans, mentor staff, and liaise with internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in engineering or related field.
• Knowledge in project management techniques and procedures.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of project execution including scope, schedule, and budget; ensure quality control of deliverables; analyze and communicate project status, risks, schedule, and costs to stakeholders.
• Collaborate on business development activities; manage client relationships and assist in proposal development and budgeting; coordinate with clients and partners.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, cost development, and establish critical project objectives.
• Mentor and train staff; oversee project teams and ensure adherence to contractual requirements.
• Manage project risk reviews, contract administration, and change orders; support legal and compliance reviews.
